Football Halted by Baker

Baldwin City, Kan. – The Graceland University football took on the on the Baker University Wildcats. The Yellowjackets were defeated by the Wildcats, 45-42 and move to 3-2 on the season.

Quarter 1 Graceland 13 | Baker 14
Graceland would get on the board first with a fumble by Baker. Isaiah Slaughter would recover for a touchdown, and Alex Tuyo's extra point would be good. Baker would even the score from a 12-yard touchdown. Latrell Brown would rush for an 80-yard touchdown. A two-yard rush for Baker would be added at the three-minute mark.

Quarter 2: Graceland 8 | Baker 14
Cade Ross found Alonzo Reyes for a two-yard touchdown. Reyes's rush attempt for the extra point was good. The Wildcats found the Graceland endzone with a 38-yard catch to even the score, 21-21.

During the next play, Baker would intercept to add a 40-yard return (28-21).

Quarter 3: Graceland 7 | Baker 0
With under two minutes left in the third quarter, Graceland would add a touchdown from a Cade Ross pass to Kristian Constantine for 36 yards.

Quarter 4: Graceland 14 | Baker 17
Baker would open the fourth quarter, find the endzone (35-28), and follow at the 10-minute mark with a field goal. Cade Ross would find Tre Blake for a 69-yard touchdown (38-35). Ross and Blake would add a second touchdown to take the lead (42-38).

Baker would take the lead with three minutes remaining from a passing touchdown (45-43).
