Football Bests Clarke On Senior Day

Lamoni, Iowa – The Graceland University football took on the Clarke University Pride. The Yellowjackets defeated the Pride, 49-7 and move to 4-5 on the season and 1-2 in the Heart.

Quarter 1 Graceland 7 | Clarke 0
Graceland would get on the board swiftly; just moments after the beginning of the game, Cade Ross would find Kristian Constantine for a 53-yard touchdown (14:15-minute mark). Jacob Collett's kick was good. The Yellowjackets would hold the Pride scoreless (7-0).

Quarter 2: Graceland 21 | Clarke 7
Graceland would continue their fire, adding to their advantage when Felix Wade would find the endzone from a 16-yard pass from Cade Ross (14-0). Clarke would answer on their next drive with a 16-yard touchdown.

Late in the second quarter, Graceland would work in back-to-back touchdowns. Adarius Thomas would cross the line from a 5-yard Ross pass. Under a minute later, Reggie Wilson would add his first touchdown of the game with a 12-yard pass. The Yellowjackets would close the half with a key sack by EJ Barrera for a Clarke 15-yard loss to lead by 21 (28-7).

Quarter 3: Graceland 7 | Clarke 0
Kristian Constantine would add his second touchdown of the day, receiving an 18-yard pass (35-7). Graceland's defense would hold the Clarke scoreless in the third quarter.

Quarter 4: Graceland 14 | Clarke 0
The Yellowjackets continued their groove, and Reggie Wilson would rack up his second endzone appearance with a 34-yard pass from Cade Ross. The extra point would be made by a Jadan Gilliland pass to Charles Phoenix (43-7).

Graceland would confirm their victory, ending the game with one last endzone appearance from Davonte Green, with a 19-yard rushing touchdown.

The Yellowjacket's defense would hold Clarke to one touchdown, key tackles from Isaiah Slaughter (eight tackles / TFK-Yards; 2-9 / INT-Yards; 1-21), EJ Barrera (five tackles / Sacks-Yrds; 2-24 / TFL-Yrds; 3-26), other key defense players; John Mitchell, Cornel Jones, Boyd Farmer, JT Brown, Hiram Anakalea, Trayvon Thomas, Bret Whitehall, Parker Clark and Emariye Louden.
