Vikings Halted Football on Fourth Quarter Push

Lamoni, Iowa. – The Graceland University football hosted the Missouri Valley College Vikings. The Yellowjackets fell to the Vikings, 49-42 and move to 3-1 on the season.

Quarter 1 Graceland 7 | Missouri Valley 14
The Vikings would find the endzone first with a 2-yard rushing touchdown (7:55 – minute mark). Missouri Valley would add their second from a drive of five plays and 63 yards for a 1-yard touchdown.

Graceland would get on the board from a Cade Ross 19-yard pass to Jalen Poinson to find the endzone (1:49 minute mark). The extra point by Alex Tuyo was good.

Quarter 2: Graceland 14 | Missouri Valley 14
Missouri Valley would add a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Graceland would answer with a 14-yard Cade Ross to Tre Blake to find the endzone. The Yellowjackets would tie the score 21-21 from a Kristian Constantine 11-yard pass from Cade Ross.

The Vikings would retake their lead with just over a minute remaining, 28-21.

Quarter 3: Graceland 0 | Missouri Valley 14
Missouri Valley would have a strong quarter, holding the Yellowjackets to no touchdowns and entering the endzone twice (42-21).

Quarter 4: Graceland 21 | Missouri Valley 7
The Yellowjackets would get on the board fast to work to close their deficit from a Tre Blake 5-yard touchdown from Cade Ross; Alex Tuyo's kick was good. Graceland would follow just over four minutes later with a Gerald Monroe 11-yard touchdown. A 1-yard touchdown by Blake from Ross would even the score 42-42.

The Vikings would have a late 18-yard touchdown to take the lead with 00:15 seconds on the clock and hold Graceland for the victory.
