Two Named to the Daktronics NAIA Competitive Cheer Scholar-Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Competitive Cheer Scholar-Athletes from 62 schools national wide.
Georgetown (Ky.) and Mid-America Nazarene (Kan.) lead the last with nine representatives each, while Brenau (Ga.), Northwestern (Iowa), Oklahoma City, and Taylor (Ind.) follow behind with eight. In total, 217 scholar-athletes were named this season.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
