Perez and Millslagle Earn Heart Weekly Honors

Overland Park, Kan. – The Heart of America Conference (HAAC) has announced the conference players of the week for the week ending Sunday, April 7th. Gabriel Perez was named Heart Baseball Player of the Week, and Michael Millslagle earned Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Gabriel Perez | So | OF/P | Florida, Puerto Rico
Perez hit .500 on the weekend in a four-game series with Benedictine. The sophomore went 5-for-10 with three home runs and six RBI's. In his 10 at-bats, he collected 14 total bases.

Perez was named pitcher of the week earlier this season with a thrown no-hitter.

Heart Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Michael Millslagle | Sr. | Lamoni, Iowa.
Millslagle broke the meet, facility and school record last Saturday at the David Suenram Gorilla Classic in the men's high jump with a jump of 2.20m (7'2.5). He currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in the high jump.

This will be Millslagle eight Heart Field Athletes of the Week honors.
