Harder to Qualify for the NAIA Marathon National Championships

Lamoni, Iowa – Graceland University's Logan Harder had earned a spot to the NAIA Marathon National Championships.

The Championship will be held in Sacramento, California in conjunction with the California International Marathon (CIM) on Dec. 3, 2023 at 7:00 am.

The NAIA Marathon National Championship is being held as a stand alone event this year, as it used to be part of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Qualifications for this event took place from August 9-Nov 5 (12 weeks). Student-athletes who wanted to be considered to run in the marathon had to average 50 miles per week during that 12 week training period. Secondly, during those 12 weeks of training the student-athlete had to complete a minimum of 2-2hr runs. A total of 100 spots this year were allotted to the NAIA by the CIM. 50 men & 50 women.
