Men's Volleyball Falls to the No.7 Warriors in the Season Opener

Des Moines, Iowa – The Graceland University Men's Volleyball took on the No.7 Indiana Tech University Warriors in their season opener. The Yellowjackets were defeated 0-3, and are 0-1 on the season.

Graceland (0-1) vs. Indiana Tech (1-1)
Set 1: Graceland 14 | Indiana Tech 25
The Yellowjackets came out strong to start the match, scoring first. With back-to-back kills from Malakai Christian (2-0). The Warriors found their first lead with a 6-1 scoring run (4-7). Graceland would close the gap to four with a Warrior attack error and a kill from Sonny Tofi (11-14). Indiana Tech would retaliate with a 7-0 run and snatch four of the last seven points to take the fist set (14-25).
Set 2: Graceland 21 | Indiana Tech 25
The Warriors would find the first lead of three points (2-5). The Yellowjackets would work to close their deficit to one point from Isaac Elliott (13-14) and Malakai Christian would tie the match 14-14. The Warriors would rally for a 3-0 scoring run to take the lead, and they would hold it to take set two.
Set 3: Graceland 21 | Indiana Tech 25
Both teams would come out with the same dynamic; neck-and-neck. The score would tie first at 10-10 from an attack error by the Warriors. Indiana Tech would produce a three-point advantage (10-13). The Yellowjackets would fight to close the gap (18-18), and the Warriors would return for a 5-2 run to take the lead and the third set.
